Subject Matter Expert

Kate Golinvaux received her B.S. in Environmental Science from Santa Clara University, concentrating on water, energy, and technology. A dedication to the pursuit of understanding and the just dissemination of knowledge has led her to pursue various research projects ranging from Northern Elephant Seal migration patterns to the economic and ecological barriers in Senegal’s fishing industry, as well as teaching environmental education in California and English as a foreign language in Guadeloupe.

In defending the people and organizations that aim to protect communities and their environments, Golinvaux has gained valuable experience in grant writing and GIS throughout the years.

Golinvaux is pursuing a Master’s in Marine Biological Resources at Ghent University. She is particularly interested in community management of resources.
