Project Management Specialist
Janeen Gordon is a dedicated professional committed to protecting tribal sovereignty and advocating for tribal self-governance. Throughout her career, Janeen has worked with over 75 communities on more than 120 tribal projects, providing strategic oversight and guidance across initiatives that support the unique needs, cultures, and histories of each nation she serves.
With fifteen years of experience, Janeen has played a key role in leading and assisting in projects focused on tribal governance, strategic planning, workforce development, building tribal economies, and protecting natural environments. She ensures projects are executed efficiently and aligned with the distinct vision and goals of the nations she works with.
Janeen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where she also worked for the Center for Educational Partnerships. In this role, she dedicated herself to supporting underrepresented persons in their pursuit of higher education, a mission that remains close to her heart.
Additionally, Janeen holds a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, specializing in Conservation and Restoration Science. This interdisciplinary education has equipped her with a unique understanding of both the environmental and socio-cultural factors that influence people and nature.
Outside of her professional life, Janeen is happily married and is a proud mother of three. She is committed to her family and values the balance of her personal and professional life.
