Vice President of Economic Development

Jake Robinson brings expertise in Tribal economic and enterprise development with a strong portfolio in Indian Country international and domestic business development, and industry analysis. Jake is a former VP of Business and Economic Development at Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures, where he served in a Senior executive leadership role providing strategic direction and oversight over a diverse portfolio including gaming, 8(a) contracting, cannabis cultivation, hospitality, housing development, food and beverage, and property management. Jake’s experience includes leading Red Lake, Inc. as Chief Development Officer, where he served in senior leadership over a company owned by the Red Lake Nation that oversees 10 Tribally owned subsidiaries. Jake completed two corporate acquisitions utilizing both conventional and new market tax credit financing, created and executed master plans for on-reservation economic development in three tribal districts, and has diverse management experience in industries ranging from construction, Tribal gaming, government contracting, housing development, agriculture, retail, energy, and food production. Jake holds a BA in Native American and Indigenous Studies from the University of Minnesota, and is currently pursuing an ALM in Global Development Practice from Harvard Extension School.
