STARTING SALARY: $180,000+ annually, initial salary amount will be dependent upon the selected candidates education, experience, skills, and abilities.

 

CLASS SUMMARY:

This class is the third of three levels in the Executive Leadership series. The incumbent is responsible for the strategic leadership of the NHA. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role requires a leader who values transparency, accountability, and collaboration, while fostering a culture of trust, fairness, and professional development across the Authority. Responsibilities may include; determining the strategic direction for all divisions and departments; ensuring all programs and initiatives align with the overall mission and goals of NHA; and informing the Board of Commissioners on all matters of significance to the Authority. The CEO represents the Housing Authority in public forums, meetings, and discussions with transparency and professionalism. Safety is a critical factor with NHA and all employees will adhere to Safety Policies and ensure safety in how job duties are performed.

 

The CEO will serve as the face of the Housing Authority, engaging with employees, Community Members, Tribal leaders, Tribal housing advocacy programs, and Federal partners to ensure the delivery of quality housing programs and services that meet the needs of the community. The CEO retains ultimate control over all resource and personnel decisions in the Authority in collaboration with the Director of HR to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations. The CEO's decisions are limited only in terms of the general authority granted by the Board of Commissioners.
