Subject Matter Expert

James (Jack) McCurdy joins Blue Stone as a Subject Matter Expert in Economic Development. James is a proud member of the Choctaw Nation.

McCurdy received his bachelor’s in English Literature and Neuroscience, graduating with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020. He began working as a carpenter shortly after, building custom single-family homes. This interest in building led him to work as field engineer for a multinational construction company. He assisted in the management of multi-million dollar projects including low-income housing developments, luxury apartments, and government-contracted civil projects. A strong generalist, McCurdy has also worked in independent research and communication roles, working as a journalist and technical writer.

McCurdy is currently pursuing a master’s in literature at Freie Universität Berlin. He is dedicated to using his myriad skills and experience to provide valuable work within Indian Country.
