Our client was producing specialized construction blocks made directly from large deposits of volcanic lava for member housing. Our assessment determined the Tribe was sitting on a tremendous business opportunity. The blocks had a high thermal retention value, and can be marketed as green building material with a high insulation value.
Additionally, our cost analysis discovered that due to the abundance of raw material on Tribal lands, the blocks were also cheaper than comparable wood frame construction. With the Tribe’s new marketing tools, they set plans in motions to sell to other tribes in the region and the nearby metropolitan area.
