Rich Distler P.E. brings to Blue Stone over 25 years of experience in business development, engineering, and project management of complex construction projects.

Distler is the Vice President and part-owner of Azimuth Construction Services, a Native American owned consulting company specializing in project and construction management for the Native American Community.  The company is involved in projects that range from apartment complexes, industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining Azimuth, Rich served as the southwest division leader for Zak Companies, a full service Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls contractor serving industrial and municipal clients in Arizona and California.

Rich also served as the President and COO for Energy Systems Company, a district energy company which supplied heating and cooling to a majority of the buildings in downtown Omaha, NE. Rich was accountable for the day to day management and operations, including profit and loss.  Rich prepared and acted as the liaison for the Company for an eventual sale to NRG Yield for $120 million. 

In addition, Rich has served in various roles for large general contractors, constructing projects ranging from $5 million to $230 million.  These roles included Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Executive, Director, and Vice President.  These projects include the Upper Fruitland Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Twin Arrows Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants for the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority.

Rich holds a mechanical engineering degree from Arizona State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Arizona.
