Assistant Healthcare Services Director

Laura Caswell brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, with a strong background in Tribal and community-based healthcare. Before joining Blue Stone Strategy Partners, she spent nearly 13 years with Southern Indian Health Council, progressing from Human Resources Director to Chief Operating Officer, Interim CEO and CEO. During that time, she led multi-site medical, dental and behavioral health operations and worked closely with Tribal leaders, healthcare teams and community partners.

Her experience includes clinic operations, strategic planning, budgeting, regulatory compliance, accreditation, workforce development and process improvement. She has led efforts to strengthen financial performance, improve access to care and build stronger systems and accountability across healthcare teams. This breadth of experience gives her a practical understanding of both the day-to-day realities of healthcare operations and the leadership decisions needed to strengthen an organization over time.

Laura holds an MBA, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Healthcare. Her leadership and community impact have been recognized with multiple honors including a Leadership Excellence Award and a State of California Senate Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Community Service. During her tenure, Southern Indian Health Council was also recognized as California Nonprofit of the Year and Clinic of the Year.
