Gary Hayes Joins Blue Stone Strategy Group as Senior Tribal Advisor

Blue Stone Strategy Group is proud to welcome Gary Hayes to its advisory team as a Senior Tribal Advisor.  In his new role, Gary will provide leadership in support of strategic tribal initiatives facing Blue Stone clients in the areas of Tribal Governance, Economic Development, and Leadership Development.

Gary Hayes brings with him extensive practical tribal and leadership experience serving as Chairman and Council Member of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe for ten years, following 25 years of service in the U.S. Navy.  During his tenure with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Gary was appointed by the Tribal Council to serve on various Tribal committees and organizations, including Law Enforcement; Economic Development; Health Care; Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA);  Tribal Budget Advisory Council (TBAC); Secretary of Human and Health Services (HHS); Tribal Advisory Committee (STAC); Indian Health Service (IHS);Tribal Budget Workgroup Formulation Committee; Department of Justice (DOJ); Tribal Nations Leadership Council; Native American Rights Fund (NARF); Albuquerque Area Health Board (AAIHB) Board Member; National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) Delegate; Native American Bank (NAB) Board Member; and the first government-to-government contract signing between Colorado’s State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO).
