Edward Michael Edwards brings to Blue Stone many years of direct experience managing Indian housing programs and creating economic & community development opportunities, which he has done in his community.
Edwards is the executive director of the Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Housing and Community Development Corp. (KBOHCDC) a Native CDFI. He is also a two-term councilman of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC). Previously, he was the executive director of the Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Housing Authority (KBOHA) for over 11 years and also served as the Chairman of the Great Lakes Indian Housing Association (GLIHA) for over 6 years.
Edwards graduated from UCLA with a degree in economics and from the University of Phoenix with a master’s degree in business administration. Eddy lives on the L’Anse Reservation next to Lake Superior with his three daughters and his wife, all enrolled members of the KBIC.
